A Brief Biography Of Brad Shaffer

Brad Shaffer is the founder and resident of Parallax Ventures. Brad is following his life-long dream of assisting individuals with personal growth and development focused on optimizing potential, developing a strong sense of purpose and living authentically in accordance with one’s values.

Building upon twenty-plus years as an owner and practitioner in the fields of retained executive search and human resources management, Parallax Ventures, offers a suite of services to corporate and organization clients as well as individuals. The retreats workshops offered by Parallax Ventures are conducted in some of the prettiest and most relaxing areas of the country. One of the reasons for Brad’s move to Asheville was to take advantage of the stunning natural beauty offered in Western North Carolina.

One of the primary purposes of Parallax Ventures is assisting individuals and organizations in creating healthy environments and developing abilities that optimize performance, maximize talent, increase goal attainment and result in rewarding and satisfying experiences @Life and @Work.

In addition to his work in the areas of management consulting and human development, Brad is a part-owner of Rapid Product Solutions, a rapid prototyping manufacturing company utilizing stereolithography technology. Brad was instrumental in forming this company by bringing together investors, management and technical talent. The company has been in business for over five years.

Committed to community service and causes other than business, Brad is a charter member and past president of the Ventura Marina Rotary Club and past board member and executive committee member of the United Way of Ventura County. He is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Asheville, North Carolina.

Brad received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Master of Public Administration with an emphasis in organization development and human behavior from the University of Southern California. Brad is also a certified executive and life coach and graduate of the Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara as well as a member of IFC (International Federation of Coaches).

Brad resides in Asheville, North Carolina with his wife Suzanne, a watercolor artist and their daughter Melanie, a blossoming teenager.
